Learning to sail is rewarding and fun, and most of our classes can be completed in a weekend. Whether it's day sailing with family and friends or pursuing bare boat or charter adventures, Island Sailing offers the training, certifications and equipment required to do so ... If you're new to sailing or unsure about the commitment, we encourage you to discuss any concerns and ask questions. If you've never sailed before, ask us about arranging a casual introductory sail with an instructor to see whether sailing is right for you. Getting started is an easy process: Our website contains general information related to our classes, schedules, rentals, and club membership; as well as information for each location (we are located in Portland, Olympia and Kirkland). PDX: 'Summer Formal' . Saturday, June 15th . 7PM We are excited to announce Island Sailing Club's first formal party of the season on Saturday, June 15th at the Rooftop Terrace of the Ecotrust Building! Come spend the evening enjoying the company of fellow sailors while taking in the gorgeous views of Portland's Pearl District. Saturday, June 29th & Saturday, July 27th [ISC Workshop Series] Two Dates Available . 7 - 11 pm - $125 - Cast off afterhours and experience the beauty of sailing after dark. Gain confidence reading lights and maneuvering by starlight. PDX: Member Cruising Group - Coon Island . July 13th / 14th ISC Members - The next trip for the group is scheduled for the weekend of July 13th & 14th with a goal of circumnavigating Sauvie Island. The boats will be loaded up and we'll stay in Tomahawk Bay Friday night departing early Saturday morning. The route will be down the Columbia, up Multnomah Channel (motoring against light current), down the Willamette and up Columbia.
