ASA’s Weather Endorsement teaches the practical application of both atmospheric science and oceanography in relation to sailing. You will gain a fundamental understanding of weather, its interaction with the sea, as well as squalls, fronts, storms, atmospheric pressure, global wind patterns and how they influence the planning and execution of your sail, locally and globally. Anyone who ventures onto the water can benefit from this course – dinghy to tall-ship sailors, racers or cruisers, offshore or lake-bound sailors will all find merit in this class. Class Fee: Members $245.00 / Public $275.00 Taught by ISC Member David Wilkinson.
